PubHost is being developed by Host HQ. The public demo is a fictional pub experience. Please use fictional names and contact details. It does not place real pub orders, take payment or send emails or text messages.

The public demo

Your demo menu changes, orders, contact details, loyalty choices, event interests and reminder drafts are stored in this browser’s local storage. They are shared between the customer and staff demo pages in this browser, so you can try both sides of an order. These demo records are not submitted to our workspace database. Other people using this browser can see them.

Your choices

Loyalty membership is optional and separate from event updates. Email and text choices start unticked. Clear either choice under Rewards & updates and save to remove it. These are demonstrations of preferences; no messages are sent.

Clearing demo records

Use Reset demo in the demo dashboard’s Pub settings, or clear this site’s browser storage. Clearing site storage removes saved public demo records and your demo guest identifier from this browser. Reset demo replaces the current demo with fictional sample data.

Pub accounts and setup

If you sign in and create a pub workspace, PubHost stores your account identifier, sign-in email, a one-way password hash, a hashed recovery code, pub contact details, service choices, menu and test workspace records on the server. Passwords and recovery codes are not stored as readable text. Each pub is restricted to its creating account. Pub names and website addresses do not establish public ownership or connect a payment account. Signing out ends your access in this browser; it does not delete the saved pub.

Pub workspaces are currently for setup and testing. Please use fictional customer information for test orders, loyalty and event sign-ups. To request deletion of saved account or pub records, email the contact below from your registered account.

Website visits and sign-in

The hosting service processes technical request information to serve and protect the website. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Pub accounts sign in directly on PubHost with their email and password. A protected session cookie keeps the account signed in for up to 12 hours. Temporary hashed sign-in attempt counters help limit repeated guesses. A private recovery code can reset a password; email reset links are not connected. If an existing site administrator chooses the separate administrator sign-in, ChatGPT authentication supplies the administrator’s account identity. The original owner test workspace remains separately restricted. Records saved in protected workspaces are stored on the server and are separate from the public browser demo.

Before a real venue pilot

Real customer ordering will require pub-specific privacy information, retention periods, customer access and deletion processes, staff permissions, merchant onboarding and connected messaging services. The public demo is not accepting live venue orders or customer sign-ups.
